One of the best
ways to get out and enjoy the clean
mountain air is on horseback. There are
several great facilities and trails for
horseback riding in NC. The Blowing
Rock Equestrian Preserve is located near
Downtown Blowing Rock and is adjacent to the
Moses H. Cone Memorial Park which contains over
26 miles of trails. They offer 45 campsite
hookups with power and water and have 17 barns.
The preserve is home to the oldest continuously
running horse show in the United States, The
Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show.
Yonahlossee
is the area’s premier equestrian community and
resort. The Saddle Club offers boarding services
and lessons to visitors and residents of the
resort. Horseback riders will love riding
through the secluded wilderness of the NC Blue
Ridge Mountains.
Chadi Farm in Valley Crucis offers equestrians a
total package. All of the trails at Chadi are
privately located on the family homestead and
offer terrain for all levels from the beginner
to the advanced. Chadi Farm is an operating
paint horse farm. They also have Belgian draft
horses, and offer carriage rides set in an 18th
century style farm for a romantic evening.
Boone NC horseback riding has long been a favorite
activity among locals. Equine enthusiasts come
from all over to view our beautiful stables, and
the famed horses bred here. When you live here
you will be living in a true mountain paradise,
just minutes away from phenomenal places to go
horseback riding. |
